RULES

ROAD BIKE / MTB

 

  • Participants must be 14 years or older on race day.

  • Only road bikes / MTB will be allowed.

  • Participants must follow the designated route at all times.

  • Participants should always ride on the right hand side of the road except when overtaking.

  • Wear rubber shoes. Slippers or sandals will not be allowed.

  • Wearing a safety helmet is a must.

  • Road Bike wheel size is 27/700C while MTB is 26 X 19; 26 x 20; 26 x 20.5

 

FOLDING BIKE

 

  • Participants must be 14 years or older on race day.

  • Participants must follow the designated route at all times.

  • Participants should always ride on the right hand side of the road except when overtaking.

  • Wear rubber shoes. Slippers or sandals will not be allowed.

  • Wearing a safety helmet is a must.

  • Only folding bikes will be allowed.

 

KID'S BIKE

 

  • Participants must be aged between 2 – 5 years old on race day.

  • Only bikes with training wheels/stabilizer will be allowed.

  • Accompanying adults must be at least 18 years of age and must accompany/run behind their child on foot and not impede the progress of any other rider.

  • Only one accompanying adult will be allowed for each rider.

  • Participants must start at their designated time.

  • Participants must follow the directions of race marshals at all times.

  • Each participant and accompanying adult must wear rubber shoes. No slippers or sandals will be allowed.

  • Participant and accompanying adults, must wear a safety approved bike helmet.

 

GENERAL RULES

 

  • All competitors must observe the law of the land in relation to road travel, and exercise extreme care when contesting sprints or primes. All forms of traffic signals and direction indicators must be obeyed. Competitors who ride dangerously shall be liable to disqualification.

  • Check all parts of the bike before riding

  • Participants must wear an approved, correctly fitted and fastened bicycle helmet at all times.

  • At crossing lights (if in any case, the police is not present)
    - if the light is red, you must stop before reaching the light.
    - you must only cross when the light is green.

  • Cheating is not allowed. Anyone caught holding/ riding a vehicle will be disqualitifed. If seen on site, the race number will be taken.

  • Race Number must be worn at the back while the other number must be prominently displayed in front of their bike (attached to the front of the handlebars).

  • Race Tshirt must be worn all throughout the race to create awareness along the road that you are a participant.

  • Riders shall line up not more than two abreast. Riders shall start with one foot on the
    ground and pushers/holders shall not be permitted

  • Competitors may exchange among themselves machines, food, drink, wheels, tyres, tools and pumps. Otherwise no food, drink or equipment may be handed to a competitor otherwise than by a person on foot. The use of breakable vessels of any kind is prohibited

  • Riders who have finished must proceed at once to the control point at the finish for final verification.

  • No rider/participant is allowed to cheer, assist, take photo or any other action in the finish line area to avoid any untoward incident. They must keep the area free to oncoming cyslists.

  • The race starts at 6am where riders will bike all together along the normal zone of about 5-7kms. They must follow and not overtake the motorbike lead guide (with an average speed). The motobike lead guide will signify the mark set by the organizer. At this point the cyclists will be released to ride their own pace.

  • Race age will be age on race day. Proof of age must be presented upon request. Failure to prove age will result in disqualification.

  • Registration is non transferable. Once confirmed, participants cannot change event / race categories. Participants will be disqualified and banned from future Renderfarm Sports Cycling events using fake ID or racing under a different name even if found after the race.

  • Using any device such as earplug or earphone while riding is not allowed and will result in disqualification.

  • Always consider your safety as well as other participants and race officials at all times. Treat each other with respect. No foul or abusive languages will be tolerated and will result in disqualification.

  • Organizer can use any photograph or video footage of participants for commercial advertising or promotional purposes

  • The race organizer will not accept any liability for loss or damage to any participantʼs property or belongings or cash deposited at the Baggage Storage area.The organizer reserves the right to security check any item or baggage deposited.

  • It is understood that all participants who signed up are physically fit and trained for the distance where he is entered into and all medical expenses occurred during the course of the event are the sole responsibility of the participant.

  • The decision of the Chief Commissaire and/or race director shall be final
